Things Are Happening.

I am not very good at keeping this update, so very behind in the world of the blog! There are things happening, I have a few orders that have just been delivered to JamFactory shops and hopefully they will be ordering more stock soon in preparation for Christmas (yes I know it's only October).

I have a photography session booked for next week, that I am very excited about, it will be the first time I have had professional shots taken of my work and hopefully this will make everything including this Blog look a bit more swish.

Also as posted above BOWERBIRD is coming up so I am busy organising and making stock hopefully for a successful market!

So this is an example of some new work I have made this year, they are currently being displayed at the JamFactory, until the 19th June. I think these will be the beginning of something, I have always loved the idea of interlocking forms in glass and I think these pieces are going to grow and grow into even more beautiful objects. I love them.

I have finally found a way of getting a website so I can start to use this blog as a blog rather than using it as my main source of promotion....

I am currently having a little down time after manically working on my Bowl not a Bowl : Form without Function
exhibition. This was organised and set up for the Adelaide Fringe and as the Fringe is now over, it will be coming down at the end of the week.

This work, along with a few new pieces will be shown in the JamFactory Atrium from the end of May, watch this space for more info....

I will hopefully be getting into making my new pieces next week or the week after depending on supplies and assistants as well as making a number of new production pieces.

As soon as my website is completed I will post the address and everyone can get in and have a look!

Italian Centre Comptition

This was my entry for the 2008 Jam Factory based
competition.

Italians love their food! They know exactly how they

want each dish to taste and smell; with that in mind

I have created a small set of inter-linking dishes to hold

everything any person could want for any meal. I have

left the glass clear because the vibrancy of the herbs,

spices and oils, offer enough colour to the piece so

that the glass can remain simple.

8 small dishes or bowls, linked together approximately

55cm in length 6-7cm in height.

I apologise for taking so long to update this but I am now very busy in Adelaide, Australia. I am currently working full time at the JamFactory contemporary craft and design as an Associate within the glass studio, the Associate ship is basically a training program , so I am learning a lot more about glass blowing techniques which is what I came out here to do. I have listed the website below, their is quite a lot to browse through so if you get a chance take a look. Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures quite soon as well.
